Church reporting

Q: Do you have a public record of how much our church gives to missions?

A: We have an annual congregational meeting scheduled for the first Wednesday in May. Come to that mid-week service and you'll receive a host of information about ministry and expenditures, including missions. Keep an eye on the web site and bulletin for details.

Pastor Randy's longer answer to this question:

On Wed. night May 5th during our mid-week service, we will be presenting our annual financial report that will include our missions giving. If you would like to see something sooner, we would be more than happy to give you that information. Our global giving includes an amalgamation of the following:

1. a set monthly amount that we give out of our general giving each month. The Church Council pre-determines this amount and budgets for it each year. This amount is primarily for out participation in Foursquare Missions International and supports full time missionaries, evangelism, leadership development and church planting overseas. Out of over 1,800 U.S. Foursquare Churches, Beaverton Foursquare is the single biggest giving Church to Foursquare Missions.

2. Missionary support -- those who are sent out from B4 and serve overseas are funded through our budget allocation and from designated giving.

3. Designated giving -- given by people specifically to a missionary, missions project or initiative.

4. Special Missions Offerings -- Primarily the Advent Conspiracy Offering received in December each year.

6. Mission Team support and assistance.

Not included in our Global Missions is our local missions support that would be reflected under that heading.

Beaverton Foursquare has always had a heart for world missions and we always hold to the idea that God will meet our needs if we are committed to the Great Commission.

Thanks,
Randy

The date for this reporting has been changed to May 12th. But come on the 5th anyway. God always shows up.
